Real Sociedad: Home Comfort Sparks a Revival

Pellegrino Matarazzo's side endured a difficult start to the campaign, facing two demanding away fixtures and suffering defeats against Betis and Real Madrid. However, their first match at home brought a much-needed response, as Real Sociedad defeated Espanyol 2-1 with goals from Ander Barrenetxea and Orri Oskarsson.

The Basque side have generally been far more reliable on home soil under Matarazzo, recording six wins, four draws and only two defeats from 12 La Liga matches. They also enjoyed success against Celta earlier this year, claiming a 3-1 victory in January as Mikel Oyarzabal struck twice.

Celta Vigo: Slow Start and Limited Attacking Output

Claudio Giraldez's team are still searching for their first win of the season. Celta opened with a goalless draw against Valencia before suffering consecutive defeats to Osasuna and Athletic Bilbao, leaving them with just one point from three matches.

Their biggest concern has been a lack of attacking threat. Celta have scored only once so far and managed just seven shots on target across their opening three league games. The absence of Borja Iglesias has made matters even more difficult, with the striker continuing his recovery from a muscle injury.
