Osasuna: Strong home presence and a proven goalscorer

Osasuna head into the new league campaign after a busy preseason in which they made several focused additions. Diego Rico and Jonatan Dubasin have arrived to strengthen the squad, while Víctor Muñoz’s departure to Liverpool has left a gap that needs to be filled. Much of the attacking responsibility will once again rest on Ante Budimir, with the Croatian striker coming off a 17-goal La Liga campaign.

Levante: Difficult start exposes defensive weaknesses

Levante could hardly have wished for a worse opening to the season, suffering a 0-3 defeat against Espanyol without finding the net. Luís Castro’s team showed clear problems with defensive organization, particularly when dealing with transitions and maintaining their shape through the middle.

The visitors are expected to adopt a more cautious 4-2-3-1 setup in Pamplona. Their best opportunities may come through quick attacks on the wings, with Víctor García and Roger Brugué providing pace and directness. Set pieces could also offer Levante an important route to goal.
